2026 | Liste Art Fair Basel

Gunia Nowik Gallery presents a duo-presentation by Alina Kleytman (b. 1991, Kharkiv) and Jędrzej Bieńko (b. 2000, Warsaw) at Liste Art Fair Basel 2026. Bringing together sculpture and painting, the booth creates an immersive environment shaped by themes of corporeality, transformation, and trauma.

Kleytman’s sculptural works introduce a visceral, theatrical presence, combining materials such as metal, medical plastic, and found elements into hybrid forms that move between monument and fragment, beauty and distortion. Her practice balances dark irony with mourning, transforming personal and political experience into objects that feel seductive, unsettling, and unstable.

Bieńko’s paintings provide an atmospheric counterpoint, anchoring the presentation through muted, airbrushed compositions on raw linen. In Horizon (2025), a band of spectral flowers stretches across the surface, hovering between appearance and disappearance. His works emphasize fragility and impermanence, creating a quiet tension with the intensity of Kleytman’s sculptures. Together, the artists construct a charged, uncanny space where memory, violence, and desire intertwine.
